John Bergman Jr., a member of the Spokane Sheriff’s Office Citizens Advisory board, made the decision to resign at next week’s meeting. According to Mr. Bergman, the public debate turned the CAB “political”.

Mr. Bergman has served on the board since its founding in 2001 by Knezovich’s predecessor, Sheriff Mark Sterk.
